The story of a motley crew of kids searching for treasure to save their town is just so enthralling. I love all the characters. They all have a memorable characteristic and a quotable line. I love that the villain is a scary old lady and her mama's boy sons. The acting is great, the picked the cream of the crop in child stars. I love the Babyruth part, and when mama Fertteli pulls the pearls out of mouths mouth! Also the kissing scene is priceless. I think this is a movie everyone should see. I fall in love with it again every time I watch it. It's funny and exciting and just one of those cheesy feel good 80's films you can't live without.
